Research provides new opportunities
What will Lusatia look like tomorrow? What ideas, innovations, and research projects are already shaping the development of our region today? With the exhibition “Hi!Lusatia – Research provides new opportunities”, a showcase of a region in transition is taking shape in Görlitz’s Old Town. More than a dozen partners from the fields of science, education, and regional development are working together to highlight how Lusatia is evolving into an internationally networked research and innovation region.
The exhibition showcases current research projects, future initiatives, and career opportunities in science and innovation. At the same time, it highlights how new ideas, international collaborations, and people from all over the world enrich the region and actively shape its structural transformation.
What new training, academic, and career paths are emerging as a result of research institutions and innovative companies establishing themselves in the region? Interactive exhibits, digital content, and personal stories from the people behind the projects make the topics understandable and tangible, while also revealing surprising perspectives on the region from researchers around the world.
Although the main language is German, most exhibition labels are also available in Polish and English via QR codes. Source: Hi!Lusatia
Located in the heart of Görlitz’s Old Town—between Obermarkt and Untermarkt—the exhibition is aimed equally at residents of the region and visitors from Germany and abroad.
Accompanying the exhibition, lectures, panel discussions, and other events invite visitors to engage in conversation with researchers and stakeholders in regional development.
The exhibition is a joint project of the members of Hi!Lusatia e.V. (including CASUS) in cooperation with the Saxon Agency for Structural Development and Görlitzer KulturService GmbH.
The project is supported by Sparkasse Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien.
