CASUS Open House at Fokus Festival 2026
Build molecules, conduct electricity with the help of a pencil, or spin the wheel of fortune: At the CASUS booth, you can do short experiments related to the science we focus on at CASUS.
This year we already have been present at science festivals in Dresden and Zittau. In late August, we finally have an event in Görlitz where everyone interested in our science can come and talk with us about it. The best thing: It will be directly at our premises at Conrad-Schiedt-Straße. An open house, so to speak.
Our event will happen in parallel to the Fokus Festival, which will be held on August 21 and 22 across from our building, in and around Rabryka. The festival features music, art, and plenty of hands-on activities. It shows just how creative and vibrant Görlitz is. We think CASUS is a perfect fit: after all, science is creative and exciting, too. Not convinced yet? Then come visit us on the second day of the festival between 3 and 7 p.m.!

At the CASUS building, you can learn about our research on complex systems. Of course, there will also be some hands-on experiments like discovering the electrical superpower of your pencil and building models of molecules.
