Flatlands beyond Graphene is a series of conferences, which has been established as a platform for engaging exchange and discussions of the latest exciting developments on the theoretical modelling and experimental progress in the field of layered materials beyond graphene.
This exceptional event encompasses the forefront of advancements in synthesis, characterization, and theoretical modeling of cutting-edge 2D materials. Explore the vast potential of 2D materials and their applications in diverse fields, such as electronics, energy storage, catalysis, and optoelectronics.
Having made its debut in Bremen, Germany, in 2013, Flatlands beyond Graphene has since traversed Europe, leaving its mark in Dublin, Ireland (2014), Ramat Gan, Israel (2015), Bled, Slovenia (2016), Lausanne, Switzerland (2017), Leipzig, Germany (2018), Toulouse, France (2019), the online edition in 2021, Lanzarote, Spain (2022), Prague, Czech Republic (2023), Wroclaw, Poland (2024), Milan, Italy (2025), and now for the first time in Dresden, Germany.
This year’s edition is jointly organized in conjunction with the conference of the DFG Priority Program 2244 “2D Materials – Physics of van der Waals [hetero]structures”.
